Overview

Our client based in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a hybrid basis. This role plays a pivotal part in the preparation of management accounts for several group companies.

This is an excellent stepping stone in your career path, providing the chance to collaborate with a supportive Financial Director and dynamic Financial Controller. You will gain invaluable experience and contribute to a group that values internal promotion.


Key Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group companies.
  • Conduct detailed profit and loss analyses.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyse key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasting processes in alignment with group timelines.
  • Continuously enhance and streamline finance processes.
  • Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed.
  • Assist with finance transformation initiatives and implementation of a new group-wide finance system.
  • Support annual group audit and tax processes.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE). We are looking for a driven individual who is naturally adept with numbers, proficient with systems and possesses excellent analytical skills and a curious mind. While experience with revenue recognition is a plus, it is not essential. Advanced Excel skills are essential for analysing large volumes of data.


Remuneration 

Salary: £45,000 –  £50,000 per annum, depending on experience  

Other Benefits: 25 days holiday plus statutory days, study support, life assurance, company pension, Wellbeing resources, + other benefits

Hours: 9 am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch break, Hybrid working
