Overview

We are proud to be working exclusively with a successful and growing business based in a village location to the West of Brackmills, Northampton, to recruit a Finance Manager to join their friendly and dedicated team.

This is a key appointment within the business. The successful candidate will manage a team covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control. The successful candidate will be a natural mentor who takes pride in developing others and creating a positive, collaborative team environment where people feel supported and encouraged to grow.

As the business continues to expand, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact, shaping the AP & AR function and contributing to ongoing success.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, support, and develop the finance team across AP, AR, and CC
  • Oversee high volume payment runs and ensure timely processing of transactions
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, identifying trends and providing insight
  • Prepare and review month-end reporting
  • Resolve queries efficiently and effectively
  • Enhance financial processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify and nurture individual and team development needs
  • Collaborate with other departments to support wider business objectives
  • Maintain strong financial controls and reporting standards

The Candidate

You will be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or AAT) with proven experience in a similar Finance Manager role. You’ll bring strong leadership and mentoring skills and hands-on experience in Ledger and cash management. A solid understanding of financial processes and controls is essential, as are excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Remuneration 

  • £55,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Office base Monday to Friday
  • 22 days holiday + statutory bank holidays.
